Safety at Camp CaHiTo
Where Adventure Meets Peace of Mind
At Camp CaHiTo, we believe that unique, challenging experiences are the best tools for building teamwork and self-confidence. We also believe that for “fun” to be sustainable, safety must be our number one priority.
We go beyond industry standards to ensure every camper is supported, supervised, and secure throughout their journey with us.
ACA Accreditation
The Gold Standard: We are ACA Accredited
Because your child deserves the best.
Camp CaHiTo is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). This is a voluntary process that we choose to undergo because we are committed to the highest level of safety and professionalism in the industry.
What does "ACA Accredited" actually mean?
Think of it as a “seal of approval” from the most rigorous camp safety organization in the country. To maintain our accreditation, Camp CaHiTo must meet or exceed up to 300 health and safety standards, ranging from staff qualifications to emergency response and site security.
Why it Matters for You
Choosing an ACA-accredited camp means you can breathe easier. While many camps are “licensed” by the state, ACA accreditation is a higher, peer-reviewed bar that focuses specifically on the developmental and physical safety of children in an outdoor setting.
“The ACA seal is the best evidence a parent has that a camp is committed to a safe, nurturing environment for their child.” — ACA National
