Camper Drop Off & Pick Up

We believe that first impressions are super important at Camp CaHiTo, and that is why we have integrated our Check-In & Out System. It’s fast, friendly & secure.

Check-In Parents must walk their child(ren) to the front of the Camp for check-in each day. Once Campers check-in, Camp Staff will take Campers into their Groups.

  • Manned Check-In Stations
  • Self-Check-In Stations: You can search for your Camper/s by Phone Number on our Self-Check-in Tablet Station. Once you’ve found them, click on the Camper’s name and then the Check-In Person button. Badges will print for each Camper to wear.
  • Check-Out Please arrive with a Drivers’s License and head to the Check-Out tables.

Drop Off and Pick Up times are staggered to enhance efficiency.

Camper Group Drop Off and Pick Up Times

Group A Drop Off 7:30-8:00 am / Pick Up 3:30-4:00 pm

Group B Drop Off 8:00-8:30 am / Pick Up 4:00-4:30 pm

Group C Drop Off 8:30-9:00 am / Pick Up 4:30-5:00 pm

Little Stars Half Day

Group B Drop Off 8:00-8:30 am / Pick Up 12:30-1:00 pm

Group C Drop Off 8:30-9:00 am / Pick Up 1:00-1:30 pm

If you need to drop off or pick up outside your scheduled Group time, please do so during the following times.

Drop Off 9:00-9:30 am

Pick Up 3:00-3:30 pm

Upon arrival to the Main Gate please call the office at 619-291-8985 and someone will come up to Check In/Out your Camper. (Please contact the office if you need to pick up your Camper earlier than 3:00 pm.)

Camp CaHiTo Location

Camp CaHiTo is located at 3101 Balboa Drive, San Diego, CA 92101 on the west side of Balboa Park. We recommend using Google maps to find our facility, https://goo.gl/maps/JeEdZ; please note that it will sometimes take you to the wrong location when using your car GPS.

Camper Late Pickup

Camper Late Pickup If your child is not picked up by Group A 4:00 pm, Group B 4:30 pm, Group C 5:00 pm, you will be charged $1 for every minute. Every attempt will be made to contact parents. If by 6:00 pm the parents are not reachable, and the child has not been picked up; Child Protective Services will be contacted.
