What if my camper has medications?
Camp CaHiTo’s health center staff administer all medications to campers and staff. We do not allow medications at Camp Sites or anywhere outside our health center, except for rescue inhalers, diabetic supplies, and epi-pens. During camper check-in, all campers must turn in their medications to the health center staff when they arrive.
During the summer months, Camp CaHiTo has at least one Registered nurse on call and a health aid on duty.
All of our medical policies are endorsed by a professional medical doctor/registered nurse and exceed the guidelines required by the state of California. In addition, Camp CaHiTo is five minutes from the Scripps Mercy Hospital. Camp CaHiTo also has 1 AED’s on the property.
